Thanks for being here.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-landmarks-and-the-technical-part\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Landmarks and the Technical Part<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ca<strong>ldwell, Idaho<\/strong> (KEUL, EUL) The <strong>Caldwell Executive Airport<\/strong> is considered part of the Boise metropolitan area. However, it lacks the Boise and Nampa traffic. Located three miles SE of the city of Caldwell, Caldwell Executive Airport is a full-service airport owned by the City of Caldwell. There is one asphalt runway, 5500 x 100 ft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The airfield is home to the<strong> <a title=\"Silverhawk Aviation Academy\" href=\"https:\/\/www.silverhawkaviation.net\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener ugc\">Silverhawk Aviation Academy<\/a><\/strong> and Midfield Aviation and has its own restaurant. Both AVGas and JetA (- +) are available on the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Caldwell is the county seat for Canyon County and the home of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.collegeofidaho.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener ugc\" title=\"College of Idaho\">College of Idaho<\/a><\/strong>. It is also home to the famous <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/caldwellnightrodeo.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener ugc\" title=\"Caldwell Night Rodeo\">Caldwell Night Rodeo<\/a><\/strong> every August and the absolutely breathtaking <strong>Winter<\/strong> <strong>Wonderland<\/strong> with over a million lights!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-transportation\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transportation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Enterprise Rental<\/strong> is the only car rental company listed in Caldwell, but there is a possibility of a courtesy car for aircrews. Call Midfield Aviation for info. If you are ready to go white water rafting, the river shuttle at <strong>Caldwell Transportation<\/strong> can arrange to get you where you&#8217;re going. Take note, it&#8217;s quite a jaunt up to Stanley, Idaho, but if you choose, Stanley does have its own small airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-where-to-go-for-the-finer-things\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where to go for the Finer Things!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you decide on a winery for dinner, there are options in the <strong>Snake River Valley.<\/strong> A couple of million years ago, there were volcanoes here, and it made for some pretty fertile grape growing. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stechapelle.com\/\">Ste. Chapelle Winery<\/a><\/strong> is beautiful and offers food selections to pair with the wine. If you stay in town and want something simpler,  <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mrvsrestaurant.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mr. V&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> family restaurant on 10th Ave. is a great place to go. You&#8217;re in Idaho, so try something huckleberry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For BBQ, try <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/chopshop-caldwell.com\/\">Chop Shop BBQ<\/a><\/strong> in Indian Creek Plaza. For Mexican restaurants, I&#8217;d try <strong>Imelda&#8217;s<\/strong> or <strong>Amano<\/strong>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amanorestaurante.com\/\">Amano Restaurant<\/a><\/strong> is also in the Plaza and comes with pretty mixed reviews, but it does come recommended by family members. I was born not far from here, and my sister-in-law actually took most of her pilot training hours at the Caldwell and Nampa airports. People have lots of options these days, and Amano is still open, so I consider that an endorsement of sorts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-things-to-do-in-caldwell\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Things to do in Caldwell!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ah! Going to the river? Going to the mountains? Either direction will give you plenty of things to do. The <strong>Boise River<\/strong> runs around the northwest edge of Caldwell and has plenty of guided rafting tours and fishing in both spring and summer. A popular white water rafting trip starts up northeast of Boise in Stanley, Idaho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Skiing opportunities abound in the surrounding mountains during winter, and there are excellent wineries for the rest of the year. Located in the Sunnyslope Wine Region of the beautiful Treasure Valley, try the <strong><a title=\"Southwest Wine Tasting Tour\" href=\"https:\/\/www.viator.com\/tours\/Idaho\/Wine-Tasting-Tour\/d22215-319511P1?pid=P00113756&amp;mcid=42383&amp;medium=link&amp;medium_version=selector&amp;campaign=Caldwell1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow sponsored ugc\">Southwest Wine Tasting Tour<\/a><\/strong> starting in downtown Caldwell. You will visit the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;source=web&amp;rct=j&amp;opi=89978449&amp;url=https:\/\/hustonvineyards.com\/&amp;ved=2ahUKEwi7qdi40PKQAxX338kDHQlAGbIQFnoECB8QAQ&amp;usg=AOvVaw34iNCE9WylVtSW_lwqim1L\">Huston Vineyards<\/a><\/strong> as well as the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.destinationcaldwell.com\/attractions\/hat-ranch-winery\/\">HAT Ranch Winery<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:36% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"270\" height=\"320\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/jettreks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/River-in-Idaho.jpg\" alt=\"Caldwell, Idaho\" class=\"wp-image-946 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jettreks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/River-in-Idaho.jpg 270w, https:\/\/jettreks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/River-in-Idaho-253x300.jpg 253w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 270px) 100vw, 270px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Caldwell, Idaho<\/strong>. Nothing is more beautiful than a river through the trees!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In town at the <strong>Indian Creek Plaza<\/strong>, there is the entertainment of &#8216;<strong>Tuesdays on the Creek<\/strong>&#8216; from May to September. The Plaza hosts over 200 events annually, including live music and the <strong>Farm to Fork Farmer&#8217;s Market<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Lake Lowell<\/strong> is located by the <strong>Deer Flat National Wildlife Refug<\/strong>e, directly south of town. Enjoy water sports, hiking, bird-watching, picnics, and beautiful scenery in the refuge. If you go exploring here or hike the backcountry, a portable WiFi booster that automatically changes to the carrier with the strongest signal is a good idea.<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shareasale.com\/r.cfm?b=2217777&amp;u=3850259&amp;m=134420&amp;urllink=&amp;afftrack=\"> Travlfi<\/a><\/strong> is a great choice!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-skydiving\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Skydiving<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looking for a different type of adventure? Skydiving is offered at Caldwell Executive Airport at <strong><a title=\"Sky Down Skydiving!!\" href=\"https:\/\/skydownskydiving.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow ugc\">Sky Down Skydiving!!<\/a><\/strong> Something calmer and family-friendly? Try the<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/enburg Planetarium at the College of Idaho.\"> Whittenberger Planetarium<\/a><\/strong> at the College of Idaho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-golf\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Golf<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For golfing, there are 3 courses in the immediate vicinity. For example, <strong>TimberStone<\/strong>, with 18 holes, is public, <strong>Purple Sage<\/strong>, with 18, and <strong>Fairview Golf Course<\/strong>, with 9, are municipal. Within a 20-mile radius, you can find 14 other courses, of which only 3 are private. <a title=\"Golfnow.com\" href=\"http:\/\/golfnow.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Golfnow.com<\/a> is an excellent resource for tee times and descriptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-where-to-stay-near-caldwell-executive-airport\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where To Stay Near Caldwell Executive Airport<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nearby hotels are too numerous to mention. Caldwell Executive Airport now sits on the outer limits of Boise, as that city has grown tremendously since my childhood. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/prf.hn\/click\/camref:1011l3xMp9\/pubref:Idaho\/[p_id:1100l536370]\">Expedia.com<\/a><\/strong> can help you narrow it down by showing you prices and amenities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides the usual fare of chain hotels, there are also a few guest houses nearby.
