Jackson Hole Airport<\/strong> (JAC, KJAC) is a towered public field located 7 miles North of Jackson, Wyoming. The tower is attended from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. local time. There is one runway as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a high-elevation field, surrounded by mountainous terrain. Located entirely inside the Grand Teton National Park,<\/strong> this is a noise-sensitive environment. Watch for elk, moose, and bison on the way down. While this is primarily a commercial airport, it’s also GA friendly and the closest you can get to the Teton Mountain<\/strong>s and Jackson Hole<\/strong>. It’s also a little bit of a flex to say you landed in Jackson Hole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FBO & Services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jackson Hole Flight Services<\/a><\/strong> is the FBO. AvGas, Jet-A, hangars, tiedowns, minor airframe & powerplant services, bottled oxygen, and a deicing pad at the north end of Taxiway A are just some of their amenities. Overnight parking requires prior permission. They have catering from Jedidiah’s Catering<\/strong> and do not allow outside food delivery at the FBO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Grand Teton Park Book Shop<\/strong> is also located in this terminal, but as of this writing, it is temporarily closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are direct commercial flights from 13 different cities, supplied by Alaska, Delta, American, and United.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transportaion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A crew car is available from the FBO with a two-hour time limit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rental car counters are located south of ticketing, and several different rental car companies have off-site locations. Most of those provide free shuttle service to their off-airport locations. Carla Car Rental<\/a><\/strong> can help you find the best deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit<\/strong> (START)<\/strong> runs a seasonal airport shuttle from mid-December through April, connecting you to multiple downtown stops. You have to use the Transit App<\/strong> or exact cash. Several licensed private shuttles, including the Jackson Hole Shuttle<\/a><\/strong> and Prime <\/a>T<\/a>ime Shuttle<\/a><\/strong>, also operate here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other options include the airport-run TaxiPool<\/strong>, Uber, Lyft (with pick-up at the north island in front of the ticketing terminal), A Black Car Service<\/a><\/strong>, Elite Car Service<\/a><\/strong>, and Savoya<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where To Stay Near Jackson Hole Airport<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Prices and names change frequently. For current prices, amenities, and new owner rebrands, check Expedia.com<\/a><\/strong> or Hotels.com<\/a><\/strong>. However, here are the nearest places to stay as of Dec. 2025. VRBO.com<\/a><\/strong> is also a good choice here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. Super 8 by Wyndham Jackson Hole<\/a><\/strong> is affordable and convenient for quick overnights.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Hampton Inn Jackson Hotel<\/a><\/strong> is modern and near town.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
