Yellowstone Regional Airport<\/a><\/strong> (COD, KCOD) is a public, non-towered field located 2 miles SE of downtown Cody, <\/strong>in Park County, Wyoming<\/strong>, and is owned by the City of Cody<\/strong>. There is one runway as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Inside the terminal, you’ll find the Heart Mountain Bar & Grill<\/strong> open 7 days a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The closest restaurants outside the airport grounds are the seasonally open Rosa’s & Ruben’s<\/a><\/strong> Mexican food truck (loved and anticipated by locals) and the Hungry Bear Restaurant<\/a><\/strong>. Up next is Granny’s Restaurant<\/a><\/strong>, a classic American diner. Then Cody’s Steakhouse<\/a><\/strong>, the Silver Dollar Bar & Grill<\/a><\/strong>, Proud Cut Saloon<\/a><\/strong>, Irma Hotel & Restaurant<\/strong>, and Wy Thai<\/strong> are all within 2.5 miles of the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The strongest ratings in town are Wy Thai<\/a> and, for dinner and a show, the Cody Cattle Company<\/a><\/strong> (a little over 5 miles out). They are consistently rated the best in town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Buffalo Bill Center of the West<\/strong> includes five museums: Western Art, Firearms, Plains Indian Culture, Natural History, and the life of Buffalo Bill Cody<\/strong>. The Irma Hotel<\/a><\/strong>, built by Buffalo Bill in 1902, still operates with dining, lodging, and the famous cherrywood bar gifted by Queen Victoria<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Old Trail Town<\/strong> is a reconstructed frontier town built from authentic 19th-century cabins and buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Cody Nite Rodeo<\/strong> is America’s longest-running nightly rodeo, operating every summer from June through August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you’re in the mood for a drive, the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway<\/strong> is stunning. It travels through the Absaroka Range<\/strong> and has deep historical significance tied to Chief Joseph<\/strong> and the Nez Perce<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For a quick orientation to the town and a family-fun adventure, hop a ride on the Cody Trolley<\/a><\/strong>. The tour narration will get you up to speed with an overview of Cody’s history and landmarks.
