While it\u2019s not a public\u2011use airport, the general aviation community is welcome each fall for the legendary <strong>Reklaw\u202fFly\u2011In<\/strong>, which draws hundreds of general\u2011aviation pilots and visitors for a weekend of camping, camaraderie, and classic aircraft. This year&#8217;s dates are Oct. 22- 25 (2026), and fees range from $25 for Saturday adults to $30 for weekend overnight\/camping adults and $40 for a weekend family pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transportation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>On\u2011site:<\/strong> Most people get around on foot, bikes, or small scooters. The official Reklaw\u202fFly\u2011In site confirms that <strong>golf carts are<\/strong> <em><strong>not<\/strong><\/em> <strong>available for rental<\/strong> this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cars and motorhomes must stay in the west\u2011side parking lot or designated areas away from aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local Rentals include: <strong>Norman\u2019s\u202fRV\u202fRentals<\/strong> (based in East\u202fTexas); they offer camper and trailer rentals for attendees. <strong>Triple\u202fW\u202fRentals<\/strong> offers full\u2011service RVs and some mobility options for event grounds, but these are arranged privately ahead of time \u2014 not walk\u2011up rentals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Town access:<\/strong> Reklaw itself is small (about\u202f2\u202fmi\u202fnorthwest of the airstrip). During the<strong> Reklaw Fly\u2011In<\/strong>, temporary amenities include portable restrooms, food vendors, community meals, and wing\u2011to\u2011wing camping. The R<strong>eklaw\u202fFly\u2011In<\/strong> has been a GA favorite for decades, known for its welcoming vibe and open\u2011field camping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-fuel-amp-services\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fuel &amp; Services<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fuel is <strong>not available on-site<\/strong>. The nearest fuel is 13 nm west at the C<strong>herokee County Airport<\/strong> <strong>(JSO<\/strong>) in <strong>Rusk, TX<\/strong>. They have both 100LL and Jet-A, both full-service and self-serve. Their runway is <strong>14\/32<\/strong>, measuring 5,006&#8242; x 75&#8242;. They are closed on the weekends, but self-serve is always available. The nearest full-service airports are <strong>Nacogdoches (OCH)<\/strong> and <strong>Jacksonville (JXI)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-lodging-near-the-flying-m-ranch\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lodging<\/strong> Near the Flying M Ranch<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most visitors <strong>camp under their wings<\/strong>. For hotel stays, nearby towns include <strong>Rusk, Nacogdoches, and Jacksonville<\/strong>. In Rusk, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/expedia.com\/affiliates\/jacksonville-hotels-weston-inn-suites.LbRRSzF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">Weston Inn &amp; Suites<\/a><\/strong> is the closest place. Additional dining options are available in <strong>Nacogdoches, Jacksonville, and Rusk<\/strong>.
