Delaware Coastal Airport (GED, KGED) is a non-towered public airport located 2 miles SE of Georgetown, in Sussex County, Delaware. There are two runways as follows:
| Designation | Dimensions | Surface | Condition |
| 4/22 | 5,500′ x 150′ | Asphalt (grooved) | Good |
| 10/28 | 3,109′ x 75′ | Asphalt | Good |
Skyline Aviation Services is the full-service FBO on the field. They offer both AvGas and Jet-A, a pilot lounge, briefing room, GPU, lav cart, a public phone, internet access, coffee, newspapers, and free vehicle parking. Aircraft parking is either ramp or tiedown. (One night free parking with the purchase of Jet A fuel.) The ramp fee for jets is based on weight.
This field is also home to the county-owned 242-acre industrial park with 17 different businesses, and ALOFT AeroArchitects, specializing in VIP aircraft interior completions, auxiliary fuel systems, and aircraft modification.
Transportation
There are no crew or courtesy cars listed on this field. Rental cars are available through the FBO or inside the terminal. As of the end of 2025, Enterprise and Hertz are the two available. You can check Carla Car Rental for others willing to deliver and to find the best deals.
All taxis here are cash preferred, with Salisbury Taxi accepting cards but needing notification. The other two listed as airport stops are Delaware Beach Taxi and Beach Ride Taxi. I do my best to find the best-rated services for each airport, but honestly, there are no taxi companies in this area with a higher rating than Uber or Lyft, and we all know that Uber and Lyft depend on the luck of the draw. They all have great ratings on their own websites, but not as good elsewhere. If you are ordering a taxi, I would recommend doing it through the FBO, as companies tend to provide better service due to contracts and repeat business.
Limo services are available through Atlantic Transportation Services, Surf Side Limousine Services, or Monarch Transportation Services.
Delaware Express is the region’s largest shuttle provider and the only one listed. The company isn’t based here but offers group travel and charters for GED patrons.

About 10 miles out, in Millsboro, are the FINS Oyster Bar & Grill (Seafood), Little Mexico (Uh? maybe Mexican), and the Jalapeno Restaurant. (No website, and it’s a very casual place, but I found numerous people raving about the food at this little place, so I thought it was worth a mention.)
