Bryce Canyon Airport (BCE) is a non-towered, public-use airport located 4 miles north of Bryce Canyon, in Garfield County, UT. There is one runway there as follows:

FBOs & Services
The airport itself functions as the FBO, providing all fuel (Jet-A and 100LL) and ground services directly. Services include: ramp parking, tie-downs, restrooms, rental car access (seasonal), and a basic passenger lounge. The Bryce Canyon Airport was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the original log hangar that was built in 1936 by the WPA. The place is very small; no food or drink, basically a restroom and an office, but the sights near here are enormous. Also, the runway is very long for a place this size.

This field is home to Bryce Canyon Helicopters, a helicopter tour agency. They operate directly from the field and have aerial tours over Bryce Canyon, Grand Staircase, and surrounding cliffs. There are no flight schools here, but if you are looking for a new rating, check out Pilot Institute or Rod Machado’s Aviation Learning Center.

There is no courtesy car here, and rental car access is not guaranteed at certain times of the year. Bryce Canyon is a rural gateway‑park community with no taxi, and as of August 2026, no Uber or Lyft. Seasonal shuttles are offered from Ruby’s Inn, and you can rent a car in Bryce Canyon City, but there is no rental counter at the airport.

Closest: Best Western Plus Ruby’s Inn and Best Western Plus Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel.
Both are located right in Bryce Canyon City.
Unique stays: The Lodge at Bryce Canyon or Bryce Canyon Log Cabins or Clear Sky Resorts- Bryce Canyon Unique Stargazing Domes
This lodge sits inside the historical Bryce Canyon National Park, and it’s a short walk to the Bryce Amphitheater. Bryce Canyon Log Cabins are, of course, log cabins.
Budget-friendly: Bryce View Lodge (part of Ruby’s Inn) and Bryce Canyon Resort.
Bryce View Lodge has the lowest price point. Bryce Canyon Resort has an on-site restaurant. Both are in town, within walking distance of Bryce City shops and restaurants, and about 3 miles from the entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park.

Ruby’s Inn Cowboy’s Buffet & Steak Room inside the Best Western is the closest place to eat.
Ebenezer’s Barn & Grill is up next but not open year-round. It’s a Dinner show + meal establishment.
Also nearby in Bryce Canyon City are the Pizza Place and the Bryce Canyon Resort Restaurant.
If you need a quick bite or a coffee fix, the Bryce Canyon Coffee Co. isn’t far from the in-town hotels.

Things To Do
Bryce Canyon Airport hosts the Bryce Canyon Fly‑In & Car Show each August, featuring Warbirds, vintage aircraft, classic cars, food vendors, and an open house. The date published for 2026 is August 22.
Bryce Canyon National Park is the main attraction. Hoodoos, amphitheaters, overlooks, and some of the most iconic sunrise views in the U.S. Top spots: Sunrise Point, Sunset Point, Inspiration Point, Bryce Point.
Bryce Canyon Rim Road is a beautiful 18-mile drive with multiple overlooks. The southern viewpoints (Natural Bridge, Agua Canyon, Rainbow Point) are less crowded and spectacular.
Mossy Cave Trail-A short, easy hike on the northern end of the park. Waterfall, cave, and great for families.
Red Canyon is in the Dixie National Forest, showing off vibrant red rock tunnels, hoodoos, bike paths, and short hikes. Often called “Little Bryce.”
There are also ATV-guided tours (Bryce Canyon Area), horseback riding at Ruby’s Inn, stargazing in International Dark Sky Park (inside Bryce Canyon National Park), and the aforementioned Bryce Canyon Scenic Flights / Helicopter Tours.
There are All-day guided small-group tours and hikes through Viator, or if you prefer to go your own way, there’s an All-day Audio Tour with lots of info for less than $10. Grab your rental car and go!
