Yellowstone Regional Airport (COD, KCOD) is a public, non-towered field located 2 miles SE of downtown Cody, in Park County, Wyoming, and is owned by the City of Cody. There is one runway here as follows:

This is the gateway to Yellowstone’s East Entrance.

Where To Eat And Drink
Inside the terminal, you’ll find the Heart Mountain Bar & Grill open 7 days a week.
The closest restaurants outside the airport grounds are Rosa’s & Ruben’s and the Hungry Bear Restaurant. Up next is Granny’s Restaurant, a classic American diner. Then Cody’s Steakhouse, the Silver Dollar Bar & Grill, Proud Cut Saloon, Irma Hotel & Restaurant, and Wy Thai are all within 2.5 miles of the airport.
The strongest ratings in town are Wy Thai and the Cody Cattle Company (a little over 5 miles out). They are consistently rated the best in town.



Things To Do
The Buffalo Bill Center of the West includes five museums: Western Art, Firearms, Plains Indian Culture, Natural History, and the life of Buffalo Bill Cody. The Irma Hotel, built by Buffalo Bill in 1902, still operates with dining, lodging, and the famous cherrywood bar gifted by Queen Victoria.
Old Trail Town is a reconstructed frontier town built from authentic 19th-century cabins and buildings.
The Cody Nite Rodeo is America’s longest-running nightly rodeo, operating every summer from June through August.
If you’re in the mood for a drive, the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway is stunning. It travels through the Absaroka Range and has deep historical significance tied to Chief Joseph and the Nez Perce.
For a quick orientation to the town and a family-fun adventure, hop a ride on the Cody Trolley. The tour narration will get you up to speed with an overview of Cody’s history and landmarks. If you have an entire day, you can tour the lower loop of Yellowstone and enjoy lunch beside Old Faithful with a Viator small-group tour. They will pick you up from your hotel in Cody.
